Challange of encapsulating a huge brand to a brand portal
Accelleron is a leading provider of high-performance turbocharging solutions, serving industries such as marine, energy, and rail. Their focus on innovation and efficiency drives their need for a well-structured and accessible brand management system.
The primary objective of this project was to streamline Accelleron’s corporate resource management by selecting, implementing, and tailoring a digital brand portal to their specific needs. Our team focused on ensuring a seamless user experience, intuitive navigation, and scalable structure while aligning with the client’s branding requirements.

Solution
After thorough research, we determined that Frontify was the most suitable platform for Accelleron’s brand portal. Our process included:
Information Architecture & Structure Design – We defined a logical and efficient framework to organize assets, ensuring easy navigation and accessibility for different user groups.
UX & UI Design – We developed a user-friendly interface, ensuring that brand assets are easily searchable and categorized for seamless retrieval.
Animations & Microinteractions – To enhance usability and engagement, we introduced subtle animations and interactions that guide users smoothly through the platform.
Content Strategy & Implementation – We structured and placed brand principles, guidelines, and key documents in an intuitive manner.
Taxonomy & Categorization – To accommodate various user roles, we established a hierarchical structure for accessing and managing brand materials.
Key Features & Enhancements

new media assets were produced and incorporated into the platform, ensuring up-to-date brand materials.
The brand advisory team responded to more than 10,000 emails, assisting employees with brand-related inquiries and ensuring compliance with guidelines.
To ensure controlled access to assets, we implemented three distinct media libraries, each tailored to different user roles and permissions. A standardized asset versioning system was introduced, ensuring that the most recent files remain accessible under a single link. The brand portal was also optimized for multiple languages, providing a seamless experience for global teams.
To streamline content governance, we developed an approval workflow called the “Waiting Room,” where users submit materials for review. The Brand Governance team verifies compliance with brand guidelines before publishing the assets with appropriate access controls. Additionally, in collaboration with Frontify’s vendor support, we continuously monitored user behavior, gathering insights to refine usability and enhance the overall platform efficiency.
UX Improvements
A major focus of this project was improving the overall user experience within the brand portal. We conducted usability testing to identify pain points and refine the navigation structure, ensuring users could quickly locate the assets they needed. The introduction of advanced search functionality, enhanced filtering options, and an intuitive dashboard significantly reduced the time spent searching for files.
Additionally, we designed a clean, consistent UI that aligns with Accelleron’s branding, enhancing user engagement and making asset management more efficient. These improvements contributed to a seamless, more enjoyable user experience across all levels of the organization.
Outcome
The successful implementation of the brand portal has significantly improved Accelleron’s internal brand management. Employees can now efficiently find, access, and utilize approved brand assets while maintaining brand consistency. With an intuitive interface, logical structure, and automated governance processes, the portal fosters a more streamlined and effective brand management experience.
